Tea Bag String and Label for 200 Tea Bags
Our tea bag string is the perfect complement when using self-filling tea bags. It makes handling the tea bags significantly more comfortable and practical. The included label allows for individual customization.
The thread, made from untreated cotton, is food-safe and wound onto an untreated wooden spool. The total thread length of 30 meters is sufficient to tie 200 tea bags with a 15 cm thread. The labels are printed on a DIN A4 sheet, can be printed with any standard printer, and are enough for 200 tea bags. After printing, the individual labels can be easily torn off along the perforated fold lines.
Here's how it works
Unwind the thread from the spool and cut it to the desired length. Then, attach the thread to the filled tea bag using special stapler pliers (available from us). Finally, attach one of the tea bag labels, which you have previously labeled by hand or with a printer, to the other end of the thread.
Instead of attaching the thread to the label with a staple, you can also tie it to the label hole or thread it back through the hole to the bag. In the latter case, the amount of thread used will naturally increase accordingly.

Self-filling tea bags consist primarily of natural fibers (albaca fibers and other cellulose fibers) and a mixture of thermoplastic polymer fibers. These are necessary to make the tea bags heat-sealable, meaning they can be sealed using heat. A very small amount of wet-strength agent is also required to prevent the tea bags from disintegrating into papery mush when hot water is added.
In addition, there are pyramid tea bags made entirely of nylon.

Due to the addition of synthetic materials, heat-sealable tea bags are not 100% compostable.
